Anonymous Family - Israel, Middle East

Anonymous Family Bio:

We are a family of 4 who are compelled to see the Middle East changed for the glory of God. When it comes to online communication our identities and locations need to remain anonymous, as proselytizing/evangelizing are unwelcome in these nations. So we are called ‘workers’, not ‘missionaries’ - simply there to let Love be known for who He really is….

Our story begins with us both being raised in Southern Ontario and accepting Christ in our teen years. We met many years later at Bible College, and were married two years later. By the time we graduated with a BA in Theology we knew God had captured our hearts with the needs of a lost world and, in particular had given us a passion for unreached peoples in places where Christian witness is often restricted.

Although our hearts were burdened for the Muslim people during our time at bible college, we waited on the timing of God. In the waiting he prepared our family and our hearts, growing our character and love for the lost. Since the time of our calling, we had two beautiful children. In July of 2017 we were compelled to pursue Jesus more deeply as a family in Pemba, Mozambique with the Iris Global Harvest School. During this time the Lord spoke to both of us on separate occasions and told us to go to Israel on an extended outreach. We got to go, and God allowed the visions he gave us in Pemba to come to life!!!

God has opened a door for us to enter this country on a long term basis through legitimate means as volunteer teachers at a school. Our days will predominately be spent teaching several different subjects at an elementary level. Our purpose is to develop lifelong learners who are Christ centred and productive members of society, by establishing a foundation for moral excellence and high quality of academic training. We desire to create awareness in every student of God’s love, and an acceptance of that love that draws them into fellowship with Christ. In time we will begin outreach projects that serve the community and show the tangible love of God.

If the Lord permits, we desire to become more permanently established in the land as residents, pioneering an Iris base. The purpose of the base is to be a training and sending centre for families who desire to pursue more intimacy with Christ and live as Jesus did in either their home culture or cross culturally. We would love to offer this experience in the holy land.

Our family is moving to Israel July 2018 to begin a new adventure with God. We know that God will bear fruit in this next season as we remain connected to Jesus and demonstrate his love.

But how can people call on him for help if they’ve not yet believed? And how can they believe in one they’ve not yet heard of? And how can they hear the message of life if there is no one there to proclaim it? And how can the message be proclaimed if messengers have yet to be sent? That’s why the Scriptures say: How welcome is the arrival of those proclaiming the joyful news of peace and of good things to come!”  Romans 10: 14-15 The Passion Translation
