April 2013 South African Base for PIH/Iris Africa Churches Update

In 2009 John and Dawn Redworth transferred the leadership of the IMC Harvest Bible College to Pastor Johannes Mabila, one of the original graduating students of the college. Pastor Mabila is a strong leader and is gifted by the Holy Spirit as a church planting evangelist.

Johannes and his wife Gladys live in ‘Block A’ (near Tonga) with their four children and three orphans which they care for. Gladys (also a graduate of the bible college) has a huge heart for the poor children in her area. IMC continues to provide monthly finances to feed approximately 140 children each Saturday, giving them the best meal that they will have that week. The feeding program takes place on land purchased with funds provided by a small British Columbia housing NFP.

The Redworths have travelled from Canada to RSA at Easter time for the past three years (at their expense) to visit the Harvest Bible College, Block A and rural churches. Throughout the year they continue contact and encourage the Mabila family through phone calls.

It was a great privilege for the Redworths to see the development of the ‘new’ Bible College on their most recent visit. It is currently under construction, made possible by the generosity of donors in the UK.
