April 2018 Brenda Dueck Update
During the months of October and November, God answered a number of prayers that I have been praying about since my arrival in Cambodia.
First, we were able to send 12 kids from the Railway Community to school. I had been praying that God would open doors for the kids to receive an education. I am very grateful to Him for favour with all the right people in order to make this happen.

Secondly, we took two children to a safe place. Their parents were currently not able to take care of them, and there was no safe place for them to stay in the community. Along with the government’s assistance, we were able to take them to a safe home. Praise the Lord!

I went home for Christmas, with plans to return to Cambodia in January. Colin, the man God brought into my life while in Cambodia, came out to meet and visit my family for a few weeks as well. We got engaged! We both felt it would be best for me to stay in Canada to plan the wedding and spend some time with my family before returning to Cambodia again, so I have been home since then. We are getting married in June and then plan to head back to Cambodia soon after.

I miss Cambodia and her precious people a lot. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about them. I pray for them a lot and am looking forward to being back there in a few months.
