June 2010 Julie Davis Update

"Grace and peace to you all!

" I returned to Dondo on March 24th 2010, after a furlough home in Canada. When I came back we assisted with the Harvest in Inhaminga. We did however have to close that project from our end of things because we chose a piece of land that was too far from the churches, and logistically it became impossible for us to keep supporting them with driving there constantly to help get the people there. We made some mistakes and yet have learned a lot and definitely touched kingdom fruit. The churches coming together and working in supporting one another is so beautiful. Also to see Franke (Mozambican who was leading with me) now taking the lead in those areas and running with it with such passion and heart, is of such great reward!!!

"After finishing that community project, I knew that God was calling me to new things. I took time to really seek God to know where and what He was wanting me to do. God led me to work with the youth of our church (18-35 years of age). I feel called to come along side the youth and help in the shaping of our future leaders.

"In addition I am teaching a class in the bible school to a group for first year students, focussing the teaching on their relationship with God. I just love teaching!   I continue to lead lead devotions with our younger boys twice a week, training them to hear God’s voice, and then to walk out the ways the Lord is leading them. I am grateful for this new season in my life and excited for Dondo.

"We had a seven day fast and prayer at the church that was just really good. We were so strengthened and encouraged, with powerful times of forgiveness, healing and unity displayed.  Our provincial pastor’s wife was baptized in the Spirit for the first time.  It was very a very powerful and awesome testimony to our Lord.
