October 2013 Community Infant Milk and Food Supplement Program Update

Naice joined our Milk Program in May 2013 when she was just two months old; weighing only 2.27 kg, she was very malnourished.

She had a cleft upper lip that made it very difficult for her to feed from her mother; she was able to suck from a bottle a little easier.

Naice has slowly been gaining weight and now weighs 5.75kg's. She underwent surgery on October 3, 2013 to repair her lip. Naice and her mother should be back to our program this week where we will know she will thrive, thanks to the help of Iris Ministries Canada.
