October 2013 Zimpeto Bible School Update

In this update we want to share with you a little bit of the great impact in the lives of the men and women who are able to come to the Zimpeto Bible School. Your financial support has both impacted and truly transformed the lives of many over the years.

This testimony is about the most recent term and the student’s active participation in daily activities at college and how it created an impact in their own lives and in the life of the people around them.

A 2nd level student whose name is Paulino Ubisse (a young man from Gaza province, south of Mozambique), shared his personal testimony in one of the classes - that he was deeply touched by the power of the Holy Spirit in such a way that brought him the conviction of God's plan and purpose for his life.

He said that in the beginning when he first came to college to do 1st level, it hadn't been of his own free will. He just came because his father (a former bible school student) said he must come.

It is one of many cases in which a person is raised in a church environment by parents who are pastors or are involved in ministry, while they themselves have no personal relationship with the Lord.

Paulino’s dream in life was to become a teacher. When he spoke to his father about his desire to go to the Government’s Teacher Training School, his father told him that he should finish grade 12 first and then he could go to a training school. With this understanding, Paulino worked hard and finished grade 12 with very good marks.

When he spoke to his Father about going to teachers´training school, to his disappointment his father told him to first go to Bible school training. He had to obey his father.

And so it was, he came ready to stay for very little time and then go back home. However, the more he went to the classroom and joined with other colleagues, the more he started to enjoy the classes and to like the environment. During this time he was drawn to some things that he observed - strange tongues, laughter and crying out during the morning intercessory prayer meetings with the other students, during staff meetings, and in church. All of this was new to him and he just kept looking at it from afar and would say in his mind ‘that’s crazy’.

In one of the morning intercessory prayer meetings, God's presence was so strong that Paulino was powerfully touched by God and was baptized in the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues. Another strange thing happened to him; he began to laugh in such a way that couldn’t manage to stop. He spent that day under the power of this and his colleagues had to carry him to the class. He says that in that day he experienced the love of God in a special way. He was convicted of God´s plan and purpose for his life and it was revealed to him that he must study to prepare himself for ministry in his community, an area where many people are still bound by evil spirits. Paulino now knows that he is supposed to carry this joy of salvation to bring the impact of God's kingdom to his community. Paulino is now passionately studying, to complete his training with joy and serve Jesus.
