Flood Update in Malawi

God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you. So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea. For the raging roar of stormy winds and crashing waves cannot erode our faith in you.
Psalm 46 1-3 TPT.
For several days our team was engaged in rescuing stranded people using our two boats and taking them to one of the five local displacement camps. There is very little food in the camps to date - with close to 5,000 in each camp. It's estimated that half a million people are displaced, with at least 500 deaths confirmed. Children are separated from their families.
We are so thankful for a container of MannaPack meals that arrived in February. The Lord's timing is always perfect! We are giving what we have and praying that the Lord will multiply it.
We have also started maize flour production in the village using reliable contacts. The first 2 tons will be ready for distribution in 5 kg bags tomorrow. Thank you Lord!

Amid such loss, there is hope. Transformation happens one life at a time, and the Kingdom of Heaven advances on the earth. We keep our eyes fixed on Yeshua! Holy is His name, the Resurrection & the Life! We do not understand but we trust Him. We are believing for a great harvest on this earth (resurrection/life) – Matthew 9:35-38.
As you pray for the people of Malawi, let’s agree together for thousands of Malawians to come to faith in Jesus, the Bread of Heaven (heavenly nsima)! Not just receiving earthly food that only temporarily satisfies - but Eternal Life…
