April 2008 South Africa Base for PIH/Iris Africa Churches

The very first 'complete' graduation from the Harvest Bible College took place at the conclusion of the September 2007 Youth Conference. The presence of the Holy Spirit was so ‘heavy’ that as the college’s founder and principal rose to speak, he had to grab on to a tent pole so as not to fall to the ground! The four graduating pastors present were also powerfully overwhelmed by the Lord’s manifest presence as we prayed over them before the hundred’s of assembled youth and adults. The fifth graduate (an archbishop of the largest denomination in the country) was unable to attend as his own church had a conference the same weekend. At a later date, after receiving and reading through his diploma this man stood up and hugged John, saying “John, I love you”. What a privilege to have sown into these lives over the past years.

We currently we have 42 pastors and leaders coming to the college to learn more about the Lord and His Word and to receive all that He wants to impart to them. We have outgrown our classroom (a converted garage) and must now build a larger class area, in addition to building further residential accommodations to house those who are asking to come to the school. Not only are Iris/PIH churches being blessed, but also pastors from other denominations who have seen the fruit in the lives and ministries of our pastors. We rejoice to give away to His church that which the Lord has graciously imparted to us.
