February 2023 - Flooding in southern Mozambique.

It's the wet season in Mozambique, and farmers rely on the rains that come rain to fill tanks and soak the dry soil. Last week, on Wednesday, February 8th, it began to rain, and in 48 hours, the Maputo province received three months' worth of rain. The roads flooded, bridges washed away, houses were engulfed by water, outside toilets were swept away, walls collapsed, and lives were lost.

Our youth base in Boane lost a wall 100m long. Our road into the Zimpeto Centre has washed away. Hundreds of pleas from the community are coming in for help. Our team on the ground has been assessing the damage and has begun the relief work. IMC is helping to aid the work and asking the Lord to provide for every need. Please pray with us.
