March 26, 2017 - Operations Manager Needed at Iris Zimpeto base in Maputo, Mozambique
A hands on Maintenance person/operations manager is needed at the IRIS Zimpeto Centre in Maputo Mozambique.
The Zimpeto centre has a vacancy for a volunteer to work with them in the maintenance area, starting in June 2017. A minimum of twelve months commitment is requested.
The position would suit a boiler maker, plumber, electrician or general handyman. Experience working with machines, electricity, and/or plumbing is essential. A qualified electrician would be an advantage....
You will have opportunity to work with and teach a team of local men at the centre who repair and maintain a large variety of machines. You will oversee electricity supply, basic housing repairs, a diesel generator, water pumps, and water tanks.
Zimpeto has an awesome team of people making a difference in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in the 6th poorest country in the world.
The position is voluntary, however the cost of basic plane travel and permanent visa application costs may be covered. Private housing, utilities, basic food will be provided.
