February 2005 Southern Malawi Ministry Centre Update

Much has changed in the year and a half that the Morrisons have been in Malawi. “It has been so exciting to see things expand. Two dorms to house the pastors, a second classroom and a washroom have been built. We are beginning to dig a second well, and just recently received electrical power on the site. Plans are in place to begin an orphan home, and to build a guest house for visitors.

“The work of Iris Ministries in Malawi stretches far beyond the Bible school site. Pastors come from all over Malawi to receive the three-month training sessions. Some come from tiny villages, and have received very little education at all. Some come from bigger cities like Lilongwe. As they go back home, our prayer is that the churches would be established in faith. The second phase of this ministry comes when our graduates take in orphans and care for them. In this way the love of Jesus will be seen throughout Malawi. Alongside this training ministry, we distribute food to struggling families once a month, and travel to churches to encourage and build up pastors and congregations.”
