October 2023 Zimpeto University Education Program Update

IMC supports children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to grow and prosper as adults. Whether street children, orphans, children abandoned by their parents, or disenfranchised youth, we present Jesus, Jesus as Lord of all, and give every student possible the opportunity to go to school and go on to higher education.

We are grateful to Dalberto Nuvunga (one of our Zimpeto youth) who completed his Masters in Business Administration and is now overseeing the program and the needs of all of the students.

Iris Zimpeto is currently sponsoring 34 students who have grown up as part of the Iris family to attend university/college with their studies that range from years one through 4. The students concurrently give to the ministry in some capacity during their years at school, whether through teaching Sunday School, assisting in pastoral work, working in the kitchen on base or in our carpentry and sewing programs, at our farm, or with administration needs.

We recently held a gathering for all the students to encourage them to remember the privilege they have and their responsibility to work hard at their studies, knowing the opportunities they have for a bright and significant future, one that is full of hope.
