April 2022 Zimpeto Youth and Community Housing Update

One of the most precious stories over the last year has been that of Amancio.

IMC and many other donors helped Amancio with emergency surgery in South Africa for a badly infected foot. His recovery was truly miraculous.

Following his surgery and recovery, Amancio's hope/request was to move off of the base and live with his sister and her husband. The house needed to have an extension added and be renovated on the inside.

With IMC funding the renovations and help from other youth, the house was fully renovated and painted. After many years apart, Amancio has been living with his family for over six months now.

A few more vignettes:

[Pictured above is one of our reintegrated young men. Feliciano has special needs. We rebuilt his family home and provided what was needed to a create a happy space of his own.]

[After recently finding the home of one of our reintegrated girls living in a house that was in a very bad way, we rebuilt and created a nice space for Eliza and her family.]

Truly, all are happy endings! Blessings and thanks for supporting youth and community housing at Zimpeto.
