April 2022 Zimpeto Youth and Community Housing Update

One of the most precious stories over the last year has been that of Amancio.

IMC and many other donors helped Amancio with emergency surgery in South Africa for a badly infected foot. His recovery was truly miraculous.

Following his surgery and recovery, Amancio's hope/request was to move off of the base and live with his sister and her husband. The house needed to have an extension added and be renovated on the inside.

With IMC funding the renovations and help from other youth, the house was fully renovated and painted. After many years apart, Amancio has been living with his family for over six months now.

[After recently finding the home of one of our reintegrated girls living in a house that was in a very bad way, we rebuilt and created a nice space for Eliza and her family.]

[Pictured (centre above) is Luis, one of our newly reintegrated youth. We added on a room at his grandmother's house, to provide him with a space of his own.]
