February 2011 Zimpeto Bible School Update
“It continues to be a great honour and privilege to minister to and help equip the many pastors who come to the Zimpeto Bible School. The hunger to pursue hard after God is the passion which we desire to stir up in each and every student, as well as within ourselves. The picture below, of one of our pastors lost in the glory of God at a recent graduation celebration, says so much more than words could ever do.
"Abandoned worship and dancing in the midst of the heat and humidity is incredible to both behold and to partake in. Of course, the students far outdo us physically as they continue to dance on and on. Their strength and joy seems to know no bounds!
“Last year (in the midst of the school term) we had to send a wonderful student, Tchefo, back home to the bush. He had active TB and couldn’t remain in close proximity to so many here. Because of his poverty and his living a long distance from a treatment centre, we knew that we would be sending him home to die if we did not intervene. We were able to provide him with money for transportation and the ongoing treatment which is so necessary. He is now recovered and back at our school! As a new believer (he accepted Jesus at the bush conference we assisted with in 2009) and a former leader of a large 'cult' church, he has huge influence and potential opportunity to reach many with the gospel. We have been able to help by purchasing bibles for the leaders of his church, in his local dialect. Most people do not speak or read Portuguese. What a blessing to have him back!"
