March 2006 Zimpeto Bible School Update
“It continues to be our vision to impart God's love and have the pastors in turn pour into the many abandoned and orphaned children in this country. To help facilitate this and to also minister to the many children at the centre we have expanded the role of the Bible school students to have them ministering to the children at the centre. For the first time, we have all the boys dorms participating in discipleship groups with the pastors, from the 6 year olds to late teens. Teaching on the Father's Heart continues to one of our favorite courses to teach.
“Class times are rich and the Holy Spirit continues to show up in unexpected ways. This past week, during a class on the pastoral epistles, the Holy Spirit fell and we found ourselves face down on the ground crying out to Him. Due to the heat we had moved the class from the children's dorm into our yard under a tree, so the dirt was our floor. This precious time of prayer was followed by a foot washing where we took turns washing the feet of each student and blessing them. Totally unplanned but very much planned by the Holy Spirit as He taught us all on unity and humility.
“We are hoping to be able to work towards the construction of an actual building for the Bible school this year, as we have been meeting in the middle room of various dorms since the beginning days of the school. We are just in just starting to look at location and plans at this point, but look forward to the day when we can have our own building and classrooms.”
